Training Recap

Orlando has been a blast. I am just overjoyed that the Lord made a way for me to venture on a Gap Year that is completely dedicated and designed to honor Him and serve Jesus Christ overseas :) To give a little inside scoop on what our training looked like while in Orlando… we had various people from Cru and other Christian organizations, come in and teach us about the Holy Spirit, Sabbath rest, spiritual battle, our identity in Christ, culture shock, sharing our testimonies, leading small groups, culture training, etc. We were trained at Cru headquarters each day and we lived in an apartment near there. Also, we had the opportunity to go to high schools each week and lead small groups and meet students, who were curious about knowing God personally. That was very fun and helpful. I just want to say, I love love love my team 🩷 they make me laugh and smile all the time. They are all so personable and genuinely care about bringing glory to God’s name. I am so happy I get to spend all 9 months with them! If you guys are reading this, I love you Megan, Julianne, Kamise, Addison, and Jill!! I am so thankful for how God has uniquely designed all of you, and I am so encouraged by Jesus’ goodness to you all throughout your lives and testimonies. This month of training has prepared me not just for the next 8 months, but truly for the rest of my life. One of my prayers going into this year was that God would continue to teach me more about Him and His Holy character and He has already started to answer my prayer. I have learned so much about how powerful God is and how His power is beyond time or space, He is quite literally holding all of our lives in His hands. Praise the Lord. One of the best parts of training was being able to meet so many amazing people, who work for Cru. All of them have such cool stories and rich wisdom to share. We made so many new friends at Cru headquarters and I will miss seeing them each day! But I pray that God’s blessing would be over them and their families. Shout out to Skeeter Scooter Sktatertots, KARL, Kelly, Candice, Steve, and Steve, Sharlene, Bethany, and everyone else I got to befriend!! A HUGE PRAISE!!! I am fully funded!!! God miraculously provided every last penny I needed to be able to go on this missional Gap Year!!! Thank you Jesus!! Thank you all for praying for me I am so encouraged by everyone's kindness and support!
